What is improv?

Improv comedy is spontaneous creation! It’s the art of making things up on the spot—no script, no memorization, and no safety net (but don’t worry, it’s a fun kind of free-fall). Performers step on stage with nothing but a few suggestions, a lot of trust in one another, and a shared agreement to say “yes” to whatever happens next. The result? Fast-paced scenes, unexpected twists, big laughs, and the occasional delightful surprise even for the performers themselves.

At its heart, improv is about play, collaboration, and discovering comedy in the moment—because sometimes the funniest things happen when you don’t plan them at all.
